If you are a student of biology and interested in studying microorganisms, BSc Microbiology is an apt course for you to pursue after high school. A career in microbiology equips you to work intensively at studying the science of microorganisms. BSc Microbiology is a three-year undergraduate course that comprises the study of microorganisms, this includes various organisms like a unicellular, cluster of microscopic animals, viruses, bacteria, and fungi. This discipline is a key component of the various research in biochemistry and pathology. It has several subfields like virology, mycology, parasitology, etc. Also, microbiology is an essential part of pathology where it is used to combat various diseases that are caused by microorganisms.   • Pre-required Education : The student must have passed class 12th in science with PCB subjects from a recognized board for bachelor’s level Microbiology courses while for a postgraduate program, you must have a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or any of its subfield. If you are planning to study Microbiology abroad, you might be required to provide SAT scores for undergraduate-level courses and GRE scores for postgraduate programs in Microbiology. Further, you will also have to submit scores of English proficiency exams such as IELTS/TOEFL /PTE along with a Statement of Purpose and Letters of Recommendation.
