The Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) is a four year, eight semester program. BCA program, at Kantipur City College, develops within students a range of competencies in problem analysis and solving techniques, business skills and software design and development. The Bachelor’s degree in Computer Application aims to produce skilled computer software developers with sound technical background and knowledge to develop well-designed, robust and reusable computer-based solutions to a range of problems in businesses and industries. The BCA graduates from KCC are prepared to enter in Internet and intranet application design and development, system analysis, object-oriented programming, multimedia, testing and quality assurance, project management or database design and administration.
Objectives
The course aim to
- Train students to create solutions of the problems related to information systems commercial ,financial, governmental, or other types of organizations
- Provide knowledge on various tools, concepts and techniques of software development
- Prepare students for career in dynamic and continually evolving fields of computer science
- Build up sound verbal and written communication skills
- Provide solid foundation for further studies leading to MCA, MIT, MS Computer Science and MBA
Scholarship Categories 1. KCC Merit Scholarship KCC provides scholarships on Merit Basis. 2.. University scholarship I. Merit Scholarship The 5% highest scorer in the entrance exam will be provided 80% of the total college fee. The scholarship in this category will be continued until the student top each semester exam. II. Reservation Scholarship 5% of the total students will be provided 100% scholarship in total college fee. The Student will be liable to pay university registration and exam fee along with college deposit and Student Welfare. The decision will be taken as per the university norms. The norms: 1. Percentage of Marks obtained in Purbanchal University Entrance Exam 25% 2. Percentage of Marks obtained in SLC Examination 5% 3. Percentage of Marks obtained in 10+2/ I. Sc./ or equivalent Exam 10% 4. SLC from Community/Government Schools 5% 5. 10+2 or equivalent from Government Colleges 5% 6. Female 10% 7. Dalits/ Indigenous Groups/ Ethnic Groups/ Madhesis/ Muslims 10% 8. Students from remote and backward areas 10% 9. Families of the Disappeared & Missing/ Martyrs Family/ Family with injured members in People’s Movement (Jana Andolan) and Madhesh Movement/ Victims of Conflict/ Displaced People 10% 10.
