About

Bachelor of Science in the Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) is a four-year (eight-semester) degree program affiliated to Tribhuvan University. The program is comprised of computer science, information technology and allied courses of 126 credit hours. In addition to conventional lectures, the program includes a great deal of practical and project works. The program develops the underlying principles of both computer science and information technology and shows how these principles can be applied to solve the real world problems.

Objectives

To offer intensive knowledge in the theory, design, programming and application of computers.

To provide necessary knowledge in the field of functional knowledge of hardware system and the and necessary knowledge of computer software system.

    ADMISSION
  • Pre-required Education : Eligibility: Students who have passed 10+2 examinations from a recognized academic institute with second division (securing 45% and above) or 2.0 CGPA and minimum grade 'C' in all the subjects of 11 and 12 by taking Physics and Mathematics of 100 marks are eligible to enroll in this program

    Required Documents for Admission
  • B.Sc.CSIT The candidate applying for B.Sc.(CSIT) program must have: 1. Successfully completed twelve-years schooling/PCL in science or its equivalent from any University, board or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University. 2. Applicants are required to appear in the entrance test conducted by Institute of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University (ISOT-TU) and should secure at least 35% marks in order to be eligible. 3. Must Secure at least 2nd division in the 10+2, PCL or equivalent program. Compiled with all the application procedures.

  • Written Test Students must have passed the IOST Entrance Written-test conducted by TU (Full marks: 100, pass mark: 40) English (25%) Mathematics (25%) Physics (25%) Chemistry (25%) Interview Only short listed candidates from the written tests will be interviewed and selected for admission.
