1. Mechi Multiple Campus
Mechi Multiple Campus is a constituent college campus of Tribhuvan University in Bhadrapur municipality, Jhapa. Established in 1964, Mechi Multiple Campus is the only constituent campus of this university in the district of Jhapa. Since September 2014, it has 54 administrative and 109 academic staffs in the college. The administration is managed by Kamal Guragain, who was assigned as a campus chief in 2016.
In the beginning, the college provided Intermediate of Arts in Humanities, followed by some of the undergraduate programs. Currently, the college runs both postgraduate and undergraduate programs in several disciplines. However, the intermediate programs were scrapped completely in 2010, after the decision of Tribhuvan University to phase out PCL (Proficiency Certificate Level) programs from the colleges. This termination brought steep decline in several students.
Stretched over 27 acres, the campus is located around 1 km from Bhadrapur Airport, in a rural setting. It doesn’t have much of road transportation access. The yard has a tea garden, sports ground, and two separate buildings.
